I’m a Boston Marathon Finisher!! ğŸ’™ğŸ’›

Every race, I pick a bible verse to meditate on. For the Boston Marathon this past Monday (4/17/17), I chose Colossians 3:17: “…whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all for the glory of God.”

This verse reminds me to never take running for granted and to always give thanks; no matter the circumstances. So throughout the race, I gave thanks. When I felt like walking, giving up, crying, or taking my shoes off mid race (lol) – I gave thanks and ran my heart out!

I crossed the finished in 3:41:52. I was a hot, sticky, sunburnt, sweaty, blistered mess, but I finished!! So thankful for this experience. Boston is an amazing city – the people, the energy, the history – all of it.

What a ride.
