A double zero spent in South Lake Tahoe with my parents – what a blast! After all the Sierras threw at us, we definitely needed some rest. We’ve come so far and are so thankful for all we’ve had the chance to experience. The trail has taught me a lot about the power of prayer and exposing my true strength.
It’s also amazing how fast you start missing the trail after a zero or two. Excited to hit the Trail and continue Northbound tomorrow morning!
So bummed to have missed meeting you both at the Echo Lake parking lot/trailhead (although I had a lovely chat with your parents). I did not identify you as ‘thru’ hikers; your packs were too tiny and you were sparkling clean, so unlike the others I meet that I address (respectfully) as ‘hiker trash.’ Look forward to following your blog the rest of the way; your Yosemite pix are incredible. Hope to meet in a month in Dunsmuir/Mt Shasta/Etna before you depart this great state and I can drop some magic on you.

Bummed to have missed you too! My parents texted me shortly after leaving the Lake. That would be awesome to meet up in NorCal. You’re too kind!
