PCT 8/19-20/17 – Day 108 & 109

Before leaving for Mexico, my Grandpa shared his prayer for us. It comes from Psalm 121: 1-8:
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right and; the sun will not harm you by day nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm-he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

My heart is surprisingly full. God brought so much joy to my family yesterday! In the midst of difficulty, we were able to laugh, share our love and have a water balloon fight. It was a beautiful day. I’m so happy we were able to be home!

Jake’s parents met us at Timberline Lodge for the breakfast buffet! We’ve been hearing about this buffet for months now. It wasn’t just hype – so good.
This was our last grocery trip before Canada. We have all our food organized for Washington now!
Cousin sleep-overs are the best.
Corn-hole Championships.
At first, it was just Holden and Ace playing with water balloons..
The battle escalated quickly. Before we knew it, everyone was throwing balloons!
Just being able to hold him and tell him how much I love him lifted so much weight. Being disconnected on the trail, I wanted this moment with my Grandpa. I love him so much!
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
